Gary Flowers is the chief information officer at Year Up. In his role, he is responsible for all Technology and Enterprise Operations for the organization. This includes all external customer-facing technology needed to support the learning initiatives and workforce placement for the “Opportunity Youth” and corporations that Year Up serves.
As Year Up CIO, Gary is responsible for the Enterprise Technology roadmap. The roadmap guides the company directional support of including, but not limited to external constituents such as: Donors, Volunteers, Corporate Partners and Students. As part of the Audit Technology Committee for Year Up, Gary brings a wealth of strong Global Digital acumen with a focus on process innovation through technology enablement. The past several years has served to hone his expertise in a specialized combination of CIO level experience in Online Education and Workforce Management, making for a great fit in the Year Up ecosystem.
Prior to his current role, Gary was CIO for Zero Chaos, a global Contingent Workforce Management organization and also prior to, was CIO for Bisk, an online education program management company for top tier private universities in the United States. Gary holds an Executive MBA certification from Tulane University and a B.S. in Management and Information Systems from Florida State University. He serves on multiple non-profit boards and is a well-respected speaker at multiple industry events.
