What’s so special about organizations that are embracing technology to move their businesses forward? What are they doing that’s so different than everyone else? And what can you learn from them?
It turns out that companies pursuing IT-enabled business innovation tend to have six things in common, ranging from having CEOs who are committed to technology-driven initiatives to investing in and rewarding innovation. That’s according to a recent Harvard Business Review Analytic Services survey, which asked 420 global business leaders about the role their CIOs play in business transformation.
We call these innovation-focused CIOs “Enterprisers” because they’re focused on how to be enterprising by using IT to advance business goals. We reached out to some of the Enterprisers to ask them if the six traits of IT-driven business innovators identified in the HBR report rings true in their organizations.
